A significant feature of the schema language is the ability to constrain the values of elements and attributes with data types. When applied to an element or attribute the presence of a data type will signal the code generator to apply special validations to the structure and content of the element.
The code generator recognizes a number of predefined data types:
The data types can be additionally constrained by special attributes defined for each type. The * character means that the attribute is required when using this type.
